Dear Colleagues,
CPD ONLINE COURSEFINDER UPDATES – FEBRUARY 2010
I am pleased to announce the release of a number of updates designed to increase the usability of CPD Online, based on feedback provided by schools throughout the Consortium. The site has been given an aesthetic enhancement, and several important changes have been made. They include:
1. Schools have asked for events with multiple sessions to be simplified so that all session information is clearly displayed. This has been implemented, with session information now clearly displayed. This improvement has been carried out throughout the site, including when searching for events or viewing events booked in ‘My CPD Online’.
2. Event confirmation emails have been updated to include all session information, and now incorporate every piece of information required for a participant to attend an event without having to refer to CPD Online.
3. CPD Leaders may now filter/sort colleagues bookings under the following menus:
a. ‘My CPD Online’ > ‘Events I have booked on behalf of colleagues’
b. ‘My CPD Online’ > ‘Events colleagues are due to attend’
c. ‘My CPD Online’ > ‘Events colleagues have attended’
CPD Leaders may filter the above menus by participant name, and/or sort the above menus by course date or participant surname. This change will assist CPD Leaders who have establishments with a large number of bookings.
4. CPD Online users may now search for events using the event course code. This option has been added to the ‘Search Events’ page due to popular demand.
The Consortium would welcome feedback on these new features, and will continue to consider requests for new features or changes to the site.
