This is a two and a half day Agored Cymru (OCN Wales) accredited course aimed at building the confidence & practical abilities of educational professionals in using their grounds and other local outdoor environments for teaching and learning about literacy, numeracy and cross curricular themes. Within the Qualification Certification Framework it is worth 5 credits if completed and is made up of two units. Level 2 Sustainable Use of Natural Resources (2 credits and Level 2 Outdoor Learning Practioner (3 credits)

Event Outcomes Accredited course at Level 2 – centered on building practical skills in a wide range of areas
including:
- understanding the ecology of a natural learning environment and how to manage it sustainably.
- understanding fully the benefits and risks of using the outdoors as a learning environment and how outdoor learning affects individual learners
- understanding how to use the outdoor environment for learning and play and giving you practical examples of outdoor activities that will inspire and motivate learners 
- To give quality assured continuing professional development.
A course booklet will be provided and completed by the candidates to record evidence of your learning throughout the course.  Time will be made available during the course to complete this so further time requirements should be minimal.
