In response to feedback from Headteachers and teachers across the region, this network will focus on supporting primary leaders of English and literacy from individual schools and those representing clusters of schools. LLC leads (literacy/language co-ordinators) from all primary schools and campuses are invited to attend. The programme will feature a balance of good practice sharing by schools in the region, information sharing by EAS advisers and discussion between LLC leads across Blaenau Gwent and Caerphilly.

• Update colleagues on matters of national and local importance regarding English/LLC curriculum and assessment • To exchange innovative ideas and information about best practice and current research in order to develop consistently high expectations of all pupils in terms of English skills, and literacy skills across the curriculum • Provide and use appropriate resources, including ICT, to promote effective learning
