This programme is designed for Secondary Heads of English and will focus on supporting the leadership and development of English in the secondary phase. SLT link colleagues are also invited to attend.
The network supports Heads of English with the preparation for and implementation of key local, regional and national focus areas including external examinations, the Literacy and Numeracy Framework, the Digital Competence Framework and the developing curriculum in Wales.
Focusing on ‘Successful Futures’, embedding the four purposes of the curriculum and the National Standards for Teaching and Leadership, each of the three termly sessions will provide opportunities for attendees to receive up to date information regarding developments in curriculum and assessment.
The meetings also provide valuable opportunities for discussion between colleagues and sharing good practice within and between our five local authority areas.
