Business Studies GCSE
Our Business Studies Learning Network school will be running a programme of professional learning opportunities for Heads of Business and Business Studies teachers in the region.

Session 1: This session will focus on the differences between GCSE and Applied/BTEC, including a breakdown of main topics and resources available, an overview of Schemes of Learning, introduction to paper 1 and 2 assessment and opportunities to share resources.

Session 2: This session will focus on strategies to develop the skills required for the new specification GCSE course. The session will include resource development and sharing of resources, qualitative and quantitative skill development, the different approaches to paper 1 and paper 2 including relevant assessment material, the Unit 2 case study development and sharing resources.

Session 3: This session will focus on revision material and approach to exams including breakdown of topics for revision, revision materials and skill development, key command words.




Greater teacher understanding of the new specification and confidence in teaching and assessing the required skills.
