Intended audience: Chairs of Governors & Safeguarding Lead Governors

 

This training develops the basic safeguarding training that all governors should receive via the school Designated Senior Person for Safeguarding (DSP).
The aim of the training is to develop understanding of safeguarding roles & responsibilities within the school, including: the role of local authorities, governing bodies, designated governors for safeguarding and Headteachers, focusing on the 2015 Welsh Government guidance ‘Keeping Learners Safe’.
