HLTA Candidate Briefing
HLTA is a programme for teaching assistants to evidence that they meet the 36 professional standards. Candidates are asked to attend three briefing days that explain how to complete four tasks as evidence of meeting the standards. An assessor will be assigned to each candidate and will visit school to meet with candidates, their Headteacher and other staff members. The assessor will also scrutinise an evidence folder that candidates will compile to support their tasks.

This one day course will provide teachers with an opportunity to be trained and further supported with the use of emerging technologies to improve opportunities for ALN learners across the curriculum. Leadership Matters in the Foundation Phase (Cancelled)
This extended course (eight days) has proved highly successful in raising the profile and confidence of Foundation Phase leaders who have previously attended this course. All aspects of leadership are covered from leading a team, creating clear action plans, providing feedback to team members and data analysis.
