Observation in the Foundation Phase. ‘Seeing, Looking, Learning’
The event will provide opportunities for practitioners to improve observational assessment which leads to greater understanding of child led learning. The course is suitable for practitioners working particularly in nursery and reception classes where children’s exploratory drive is most visible. It is crucial for all adults to recognise the learning that takes place during extended play.
The day will offer opportunities to reflect on observations and improve planning for learning as a result.
The programme of support for Skills challenge Certificate will run throughout the year and will be led by our Leaning Network Schools.
Session 1 – This session will focus on quality assurance processes, data analysis, self-evaluation and departmental improvement planning. Delegates are asked to bring their results data and moderators feedback to allow for practical work on identifying strengths and areas for development. Following the session, delegates will have opportunity to collaborate further on their development planning.
