GCSE Oracy moderation for teachers of WJEC English Language

The event will give delegates the opportunity to join a network of English specialists from the Secondary Sector to gain support in the moderation of oracy controlled assessment for KS4 GCSE English Language.


These sessions will take the form of a facilitated cross-moderation meeting and delegates will be asked to bring samples of work with them to the network meetings

Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Information Sessions 2019
The EAS has organised information sessions for school support staff and their headteachers to explain the requirements and contents of the Higher Level Teaching (HLTA) Assessment Programme. The programme is free to relevant staff in maintained schools and will take place during the Spring Term. Although sessions have been arranged in each LA staff can attend any session as information is the same.

Improving feedback to reduce workload
This course is based on the national training programme that has been developed to support all schools in their journey to reduce workload. There is a focus on reflecting upon current planning and assessment practices, so that teacher can use feedback effectively, so that it has a positive impact on pupil progress. There will be practical examples of how to involve all members of the school community in evaluating and improving practice.

Monmouthshire: Safeguarding
The aim of this training is to provide safeguarding training for chairs of governors and designated safeguarding governors in Monmouthshire.
