“Learners who write effectively are prepared to play a full part in life and work.” The Art and Craft of Writing in line with What Matters in LLC
This two-day training course is an updated version of the previously offered course ‘The art and craft of writing’. This LNS lead teachers led course will provide a cross-phase exploration of accuracy in writing, focusing on grammar and sentence structure. There will be a detailed consideration of the LNF, the new EAS Literacy Guidance Document and the What Matters statements from the new curriculum for AoLE LLC.

The second session will focus predominantly on approaches and examples of Assessment for Learning for improving written accuracy.

GCSE Music network Meeting
All meetings:

Lewis School Pengam Music department will be leading this series of network meetings. Each meeting will provide opportunities for music teachers and Heads of Music to share good practice, discuss key issues, and share resources and ideas.

Cohort 5 ETLF - Excellent teaching and leadership framework for Headteachers and Deputy Headteachers
Participants must attend one cohort. They cannot mix and match from the 2 sets of cohorts. 

The ETLF is an excellent tool for Headteacher and Deputy Headteachers to use within their school to aid effective self-evaluation and improvement processes. It will also support Headteachers and Deputies to develop the use of the professional teaching and leadership standards for themselves and the staff within their school.
