This event is a cluster based session to familiarise schools with the new Excellence in Teaching and Leadership framework (ETLF). The ETLF is a school improvement tool the aim of which is to develop approaches to Teaching and Learning in Leadership in line with the New Professional Standards.
Seren Year 11 learners and teacher - Oxbridge application information event
An event for the schools' upper academic attaining learners in Year 11. This session delivered by University of Cambridge will introduce academically competitive-for-entry higher education, with content on the importance of A Level choice in respect of a range of target degrees. The session will start at 1.30pm on Monday 24th September and last for 1.5 hours. Venue – Bassaleg School, Newport, NP10 8NF. School staff/teachers are most welcome to also attend.

Statutory Induction training for NQT’s (from Sept 1st 2018) and all School Based Mentors
Statutory Induction training for all NQT’s who are registered in EAS schools from September 1st 2018 and their Induction mentors. All school based Induction mentors are encouraged to attend this free event even if you do not have an NQT starting in your school on September 1st. The course will cover the Induction process, professional teaching and leadership standards, recording learning experiences and using the Professional learning Passport for the Induction profile
