A Successful Year 2
This workshop programme is for teachers who want to improve specific aspects of their practice according to the professional needs as agreed with their Head teacher. We envisage that teachers attending workshops will be ‘good’ in their general role within school, but need to revisit or further develop their skills in the areas covered by the workshop. The workshop will include an opportunity to discuss effective Foundation Phase pedagogy as well as how pupil voice and observation is used to inform focus teaching planning as well as enhanced and continuous provocation.

HLTA is a programme for teaching assistants to evidence that they meet the 36 professional standards. Candidates are asked to attend three briefing days that explain how to complete four tasks as evidence of meeting the standards. An assessor will be assigned to each candidate and will visit school to meet with candidates, their Headteacher and other staff members. The assessor will also scrutinise an evidence folder that candidates will compile to support their tasks.
