Heads of English Network Meeting
This programme is designed for Secondary Heads of English and will focus on supporting the leadership and development of English in the secondary phase. SLT link colleagues are also invited to attend.

The network supports Heads of English with the preparation for and implementation of key local, regional and national focus areas including external examinations, the Literacy and Numeracy Framework, the Digital Competence Framework and the developing curriculum in Wales.

Improving feedback to reduce workload
This course is based on the national training programme that has been developed to support all schools in their journey to reduce workload. There is a focus on reflecting upon current planning and assessment practices, so that teacher can use feedback effectively, so that it has a positive impact on pupil progress. There will be practical examples of how to involve all members of the school community in evaluating and improving practice.

This programme will focus on training teachers in delivering the skills challenge certificate. The sessions will cover all aspects of the course and focus on the most effective methods of delivery.
